Overview
The three Collect pages hold everything Nios calculates from.
Every number on the Impacts page comes from the data on the three Collect pages. You add data by importing a spreadsheet or editing the grids, and Nios checks, matches, and calculates it as you go.
The three modules
Activities
What your organization bought, with spend or quantity. The calculation input.
Organization
Your entities and their hierarchy, to see impacts per entity.
Impact inputs
Your own results and factors that replace the Nios defaults.
Activities refer to the other two modules: the Entity name column names an organization entity, and each metric column, one per environmental pressure (metric), can name an impact input.
Status bar
Every Collect page has a status bar above its grid. It shows where the page's data stands and, during an import, the import's progress. On Activities, it follows matching and calculation. On Organization and Impact inputs, it shows whether the data is valid, for example "Impact inputs valid."
When a page has errors, the status bar turns red and lets you step through them. Warnings show as a count next to the status. See Activities for each state and what to do next, and Issues for working through errors.
Changes, undo, and version history
Your edits save automatically, and Nios recalculates the activities you changed.
- Undo and redo: Work across all three Collect pages. An import counts as one step, so one undo reverts the whole import.
- Version history: Lists the saved versions of your Collect data with their author and the pages they changed. Restoring a version creates a new version, so you never lose the versions in between.
